...there are valid reasons why five of six Village Council Members have endorsed Council President Susan C. Renda in the November election for mayor. Most of them have been subjected to or witnessed threatening behavior that should not be tolerated at Village Hall.
The creation of an unwarranted safety director position by a more pliant Village Council seven years ago was nothing more than a scheme to pad Mr. DeGross' salary by $19,000. His eruption early this year over a pending emergency response agreement with neighboring Orange Village put his own ego above the safety of his constituents.
Mrs. Renda, who has served on every council committee during her six year tenure, helped negotiate that sidetracked safety agreement and has played key roles in villages finances and preservation efforts. Her election as mayor will restore civility and cooperation to Moreland Hills governance."

“It’s time to put Susan Renda in the mayor’s office. We need decisive and honorable leadership. Experienced, tough-minded, financially sound and responsive, Susan is the best candidate. The most successful outcome for the Village depends on putting her in the mayor’s office. Please join me and vote for Susan Renda on November 6.”

“Effectively managing a small municipality requires an unusual combination of analytical talent and interpersonal skills. Susan excels at both. Bright, thoughtful, and considerate of others, I believe Susan will make an exceptional mayor.”
- Tom Forrester
Susan Renda is my choice for Mayor of Moreland Hills. She is available and responsive to her constituents. Susan will work hard to ensure that Moreland Hills will continue to be the wonderful Village I am proud to call home.
- Sandy Wuliger
I served with Susan Renda when she was the Moreland Hills mayor’s designate on the Orange Elder Friendly Communities Task Force. Based on my observations of her deep knowledge of Moreland Hills, her very able handling of her Task Force Assignments and her interactions with other Task Force members, I believe Susan would be a very outstanding mayor.
-Bob Seaton
President, Orange Senior Center Advisory Council
As a former Orange School Board member I got to know Susan at the Orange Board of Education Special Sessions with Community Mayors where she represented Moreland Hills. I believe that Susan has a keen understanding of the value of education in our community.
